In 1941, Darmania was a Central European Dictatorship. By the end of 1942, Darmania no longer existed.
In the 1920s and 1930s, in the Quality Universe, the post-WWI hellscape of Europe spawned a significant number of Central European Dictatorships, including: Aryania, Barbaria, Bothnia, Darmania, Dunland, Govania, Jarmania, Kampfland, Latavia, Nordicha, North Germany, Teutonia, Tuvania, Wurtberg and others. These countries were very similar in their national cultures, and the some of the leadership cadres of their ruling parties bore strong resemblances to their foreign counterparts. When the Second World War got well and truly rolling, all of these countries, except Teutonia, were not only admitted to the Axis Powers, but politically annexed and absorbed into Hitler's Nazi Germany. After WWII, almost none of these nations existed again.
In the late 1930s, the U.S. and Canada drew up a secret arms trade alliance, which was announced in newspaper headlines and commercial radio broadcasts from coast to coast. A Darmanian spy, Herr Getzer, worked out the route that would be taken by the treaty's courier, and sent out two of his killers to intercept it. The American super adventurer Hugh Hazzard also figured it out. Using advanced Teleradio and Super-Sepericonoscope technology, Hazzard was able to intercept the interception of the strategically critical papers. Hazzard had an advanced, super-powerful robot, which he used to defeat Getzer's gang of spies, and recover the documents.
