David Warner (b. July 29, 1941 – d.July 24, 2022) was a British character actor who voiced Ra's al Ghul on Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and Batman Beyond, and portrayed Jor-El on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Professional History
David Warner was a versatile British character actor with a wide and varied career in film, television, and theatre, spanning nearly six decades and earning him many awards. Beginning his career acting in Shakespearean plays, such as The Wars of the Roses cycle and Hamlet, he first gained recognition for playing the leading role in the film Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment, and he went on to appear in several roles in many well-recognized films and series in a variety of genres. Some of his most notable films include The Omen, Tron, A Christmas Carol, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Titanic, and Mary Poppins Returns. Some of his most notable television series include Twin Peaks, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Gargoyles, Freakazoid!, Penny Dreadful, and The Amazing World of Gumball.
Warner took the role of voicing Ra's al Ghul in the DC Animated Universe, beginning with Batman: The Animated Series, and later reprised the role on Superman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond, as well as in the video game Batman: Vengeance. He also portrayed Jor-El on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, but only for the episode "Foundling", after which point the character was recast with François Giroday. Years later, Warner reprised his role as the Lobe from Freakazoid! in the Teen Titans Go! episode "Huggbees", which would be his last role in a DC property before his death in 2022.
