Dax-Am was the Kryptonian pilot who discovered and settled the planet that would later become known as planet Daxam.

Dax-Am was a prominent member of a group of Kryptonians that left Krypton to wander the universe in exploration. The Kryptonian colonists along with Dax-Am were able to mate with the natives and so interbred to create a new species, Daxamites, and eventually forgot their Kryptonian origins.
