Deadeye is the name of several characters from the DC Universe.
Other characters named Deadeye were doppelgangers created as a pastiche of Marvel Comics' superhero Hawkeye. The first was a superhero from Earth-6 and the second was a member of the Retaliators; the mightiest superhero team from Earth 8.
In the Wildstorm Universe, Deadeye is an alias used by the soldier Cole Cash during his time with the combat unit Team 7. Cash would eventually take the name Grifter and become a member of the Wildcats. His predecessor in Team Zero was Samuel Nakadai.
The Deadeye alias was created by Chuck Dixon and Aron Wiesenfeld, first appearing in Team 7 #1. (1993) The Crime Society Deadeye was created by Mark Waid and Rod Whigham, first appearing in Justice League Quarterly #8 (1992). The Earth-6 Deadeye was created by Grant Morrison, first appearing in Final Crisis: Superman Beyond #1 (2008); and the Earth 8 version was created by Grant Morrison and Ivan Reis, first appearing in The Multiversity #1 (2014).
