Synopsis for "Brothers in Arms, Part 3"
Cray wakes up from a nightmare just as he and Alicia Turner arrive in New York. He finds Jackson Dane, still suffering from partial amnesia, at the Korean War Memorial in Battery Park. Cray takes Dane to Drop Zone and tells him about their shared history in Team 7. In McLean, Virginia, Miles Craven orders Le Gauche to activate the Brethren, a team created to eliminate Team 7. Cray and Dane visit Dr. Richard Markus, who treated Dane in the past, and interrogate him about Craven. After secretly alerting Le Gauche, Markus confesses his role in Project Genesis and reveals a failed attempt to extract Gen-Factor. Le Gauche bursts in and kills Markus. With him is one of the Brethren, a Gen-Active murderer named Jackhammer. Deathblow fights and defeats Jackhammer, but Le Gauche is able to extract Dane's Gen-Factor. Cray is able to prevent Dane from losing control of his powers, but Le Gauche and Jackhammer escape. Craven orders the two to go after Backlash next.
