History
In the early 1950s, during the presidency of Gregor Carasen, uranium was discovered in the hills of Delanza. In an ambitious scheme to gain control of this uranium, the President's secretary, Lili Vorna adopted a secret identity as The Spider of Delanza, and used her detailed knowledge of government operations to wage a terrorist campaign against the tiny republic's government, murdering one official after another. The famous Blackhawks were called in, but on the very day of their arrival, President Carasen was assassinated in a sabotaged airplane, with a sabotaged parachute. The Spider's follow-on attempt, to murder Vice President Joseph Szavoi, was foiled by Blackhawk and his team.
