Synopsis for "Torment"

Outside Camelot, Jason Blood finds himself alone and no longer bound to Etrigan after Etrigan's betrayed the Demon Knights and brought them with him to Hell. Meanwhile, in Hell, Lucifer reminds Etrigan that along with his compatriots, Etrigan was supposed to deliver Avalon to Lucifer. Etrigan insists he has a plan, to which Lucifer reminds Etrigan of his past rebellion against Lucifer. Lucifer then complains that Etrigan brought back mounts and a cadaver are of no use to him - Etrigan says they are part of the plan.

The Demon Knights are being tormented individually in Hell. Shining Knight is forced to publicly identify with his/her gender in a demonic wedding ceremony. Al Jabr's faith is being tested by only having alcohol available to drink. Vandal Savage is being tortured by all of his illegitimate children. Horsewoman is forced to relive being trampled by horses.

While Exoristos is bound just out of reach of her homeland, Lucifer approaches her. He reveals to her the Black Diamond - an artifact made in Hell created out of pure hate - and promises her freedom in exchange for unleashing the Black Diamond's power onto the world. He tells her she never returns to her homeland.

Madame Xanadu is forced into servitude of Etrigan. He wonders aloud why Merlin's body hasn't started to decompose, even in Hell, and asks Xanadu if she believes there might still be a connection between it and Avalon. Xanadu replies that she wouldn't dare have thought of her own or exhibit any magical abilities - just as Etrigan wanted.

Shining Knight decides to fight the tormenting demons using the power granted by the Holy Grail and begins to rescue the others. Lucifer watches this entertained and telepathically tells Etrigan that if his plan involves his comrades, he will have to recapture them.

Meanwhile, back outside of Camelot, Jason Blood has decided he cannot live without Xanadu and has decided to take his life. Before he can carry the deed out, however, he finds himself surrounded by the Horde, Mordru, and the Questing Queen.
