Synopsis for "The Gathering Storm"
The year is 1043 AD. It's been 30 years since the Battle of Avalon. In Saxony, during a snow storm, two travelers seek shelter at a monastery. Upon being invited in, the male traveler reveals that he is Cain, a vampire as old as God himself, and that he plans on feeding on and enslaving the entire city.
A few days later in Lustiania, Horsewoman is apprehended by bounty hunters. She is brought to Al-Wadi, a city in Spain, where she is reunited with Exoristos and Shining Knight. They soon discover the bounties they were brought in on were issued by Al Jabr, who unlike the three women is showing his age. Al Jabr enlists their help in stopping Cain, who Al Jabr believes is heading to Exoristos' homeland of Themyscria with an army of vampires. He explains he will remain in Al-Wadi to support the team, but they must also recruit the others.
Meanwhile, at the Fortress of Gibraltar, Vandal Savage tortures Jason Blood, whose mouth has been magically sealed - making it impossible to transform into Etrigan, swearing eternal vengeance.
