History
Derek was in Gotham with his adopted mom, Helen James , when the Challengers Mountain returned from the Dark Multiverse. He then fell into a crack in the ground and accidentally through a rift into the dark matter dimension, before landing at the other side of the city, now having powers; after four days in the Dark Multiverse. After a month, his friend Ernestine designed a costume for him to use. However, in his first live-stream as the hero Sideways, he meet the Tempus Fuginaut, a mysterious figure intends to give him death sentence because the danger's of his power's for the space-time brane.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Dimensional Travel: Derek can create rifts in midair to leap through dimensions at will, allowing him to move from one place to another whenever he wants.[1]
Weaknesses
- Power Instability: Due to lack of control over his newfound power's, he can't predict where he will leap and could end anywhere. In addition, his power's can potentially disrupt the balance of space-time if not in use with caution and careless.[1]
