The Desert Tiger was a caravan-raiding outlaw gang leader, and an enemy of the Blackhawks.
History
In 1958, the Blackhawks were called to the Sahara Desert, to again engage a "former enemy" of theirs, the infamous Desert Tiger. This raider and his marauding riffs were equipped with an electronic jet-engine-killing anti-aircraft weapon and a half dozen propeller-driven sand sleds, and had taken over an abandoned French Foreign Legion fort. At the cost of two Lockheed F-90 interceptors and one Safari-mobile, the Blackhawks cobbled together a sand-sliding vehicle capable of engaging the Tiger's smaller sand-sleds, and defeated them.
