Synopsis for Batman: "The Batman Goes Broke"

Bruce Wayne loses his entire fortune after the treasurer of his Motor Firm leaves the city with the money from the investors and Bruce is forced to pay back three million dollars. As a result, the activities of Batman and Robin suffer as they can no longer remain active and have to start looking for jobs instead.

During their search, Bruce and Dick come across a criminal they failed to stop during their last mission. On the second attempt to capture him , they also fail, but this time they have a clue for the man's location. Gathering all the savings from the day and using some of Alfred's savings, Batman and Robin travel to a nearby city, where they finally capture the criminals, but are forced to perform on a county fair to make some money to repair the Batmobile that crashed on their way to the city.

Upon returning to Gotham, Bruce and Dick are suprised to learn that the police captured the treasurer from Wayne Motor Co. and they have returned all the stolen money to Bruce Wayne, who is once again millionaire. This is good news, not only for Batman and Robin, but also for Alfred, who was a bit worried about his financial future.
