Synopsis for Batman: "The Citadel of Crime"

Batman is informed that several men that have been released from the Gotham State Penitentiary have disappeared without a trace, and just recently one of them has been found dead, far out in the western desert. In order to learn the truth, Batman poses as an ex-convict, and he is soon approached by some men who offer him a job at a secret plant.

Batman is taken to the plant and Robin follows him very closely. When Batman is discovered and locked in a cell, he finds a way to summon Robin and the next day, Robin saves Batman. They start investigating and soon they find out the the criminals who run the plant are forcing the ex-convicts to work making arms and weapons for the underworld. Batman and Robin shut the plant down and the leader of the criminal gang, who calls himself the Thinker, is accidentally killed. The ex-convicts decide to start an honest business in the plant while Batman and Robin return home.
