Synopsis for Batman: "The Flying Batman"
Batman and Robin learn that a criminal has escaped prison with the intention of killing Batman. Later, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson attend a talk about bats and the expert explains to the audience the characteristics of bats and also shows them his new invention: a couple of wings in the shape of a bat that allows people to fly. Among the audience is the fugitive criminal and after a quick change of gear, Batman and Robin try to capture the man, but the thug manages to knock Batman to the ground.
Batman remains unconscious for a few moments before recovering and then Batman borrows the "batwings" to chase down the criminal. As Batman is now able to fly, his work capturing crooks becomes easier, but he is forced to give up the chase of the thug to save Robin from a trap and a bomb. Batman uses the batwings to rescue Robin and afterwards, he surrounds the criminal and gets ready to capture him.
Suddenly, Batman wakes up and realizes that he has been unconscious ever since the thug knocked him to the ground and everything that has happened has been just a dream. While he was unconscious, Robin captured the thug and the expert in bats explains that the "batwings" are just a prototype and doesn't really work. However, after the case is closed, Batman keeps pondering on the fact that maybe someday, he'll be able to fly.
