Synopsis for The Crimson Avenger: "Tony Sparta and the River Gang"

In a store in New York City, two criminals announce to the owner that they will install a slot machine inside the next day. However, the owner refuses and expels the two men from his store, which results in it getting blown up later that night.

The next day, in the office of the Globe-Leader, Lee Travis tells the D.A. to do something about the explosion from the previous night, as this was the fifth one caused by the criminals. Lee visits the widow of the store owner, as the Crimson Avenger. But the woman says that the criminals would kill her if she tells him anything about her husband's killers. Crimson goes to Chinatown, as Lee Travis, with Wing. They approach Sin Lu, from whom they learn that a gangster named Tony Sparta, and his River Gang, are involved in the killings. Lastly, Lee goes to the Waterfront Café, where he finds, fights, and defeats Tony Sparta.

Later, the Crimson Avenger searches Tony Sparta's boat for evidence, until a gangster catches him, captures him, and brings him to Sparta. Sparta is meeting with Commissioner Benson when this interruption happens. Benson orders the Crimson to be tied up and thrown into the water. Suddenly a police boat arrives to confront the criminals. Crimson is able to get up and hold the driver of the boat at gunpoint, until the police can board it, then jumps off before they can see him, and swims to shore, where he meets up with Wing. The Commissioner is left to have an awkward conversation with the Police.
