Synopsis for Batman: "The Phantom of Gotham City"
Batman and Robin face a Phantom who can walk through walls and direct strange and terrible energies at them, but who may not be a villain. When the Phantom deliberately saves Robin's life, Batman prepares a trap to learn the secret identity of the Phantom and finally realizes that The Phantom is an alien. Shortly afterwards, Batman and Robin learn that the alien was brought to Earth by a disgraced scientist using one of his inventions, and he was forcing the creature to steal objects for his experiments. Batman and Robin confront the scientist, but they are overpowered by his henchmen, who try to eliminate the heroes until they are stopped by the remorseful alien.
