Synopsis for Batman: "Viola Vane"

Talking to his friend Jim Daly, Bruce Wayne learns that he thinks Gotham City is a hostile environment and Bruce starts telling him the story about the time Gotham helped a young lady to achieve her dream.

One night, Batman found a young woman attempting to commit suicide and after saving her, he learned that she was worried about a visit from her parents and that they would uncover the truth, that she was not a famous actress as she have told them. Batman decided to help the lady and convinced every person in the city to pretend that the girl, whose name is Viola, was a famous actress.
When Viola's parents arrived, the charade began, and they were convinced that their daughter was a star. However, seeing how the people were treating the girl, some thugs tried to take advantage of the situation, and they robbed her. Batman and Robin captured the thieves and returned the goods to Viola, who was now worried because her parents wanted to see her performing. Batman arranged something with a local theater and Viola was placed on the play. However, after a successful performance, the director decided to take her in as part of the main cast and Viola's dream finally came true.

In the end, Jim Daly is convinced that Gotham is not such a bad place after all.
