Synopsis for Batman: "The Cop Who Hated the Batman"
Years ago, during Batman's first missions, he tried to bring down a couple of gangsters. However, during the struggle, the most ruthless of the two criminals, shot his partner in the back, killing him instantly. A couple of officers from the Gotham City Police Department arrived and witnessed Batman leaving the room and assumed that he was the real killer.
In the present, Batman and Robin are summoned to the GCPD Headquarters, where Commissioner Gordon invites them to spend some vacations with him on a northern estate. The duo gladly joins him and soon they arrive at their destination. Upon arriving, Batman is greeted as a great hero, but there is one police officer who hates Batman for no apparent reason.
Later, the dam near town breaks and the city is flooded. Several people are in need of help and Batman and Robin join the rescue efforts. Batman is knocked unconscious after a fall and he is slowly drowning in the rising waters when the cop who hates him, saves his life. When asked why did he do it, the man refuses to answer and leaves. It is later revealed that this cop is the son of the man who died all those years ago and who was apparently killed by Batman.
The next day, Batman is asked to do a marksmanship test and he demonstrates how good he is with fire arms despite his hate towards them. This scene causes the cop to lose his temper and he demands a fight against Batman, which he loses in the end. A while later, the cop is informed that the man who used to work with his father is hiding in a hut nearby and the cop goes to the place, hoping to find the man and allow him to reveal the truth about Batman. However, when he arrives, he is ambushed and some thugs try to kill him before Batman and Robin arrive. The duo save the police and soon, the criminal arrives. He tells the truth about how he killed his partner in the past and how good it was for him that the police assumed that Batman had killed him. Realizing the error of his ways, the cop decides to work together with Batman and they capture the criminals without a real effort.
After the whole incident is cleared up, Batman and the cop shake hands as good friends.
