History
Dex-Starr is a house cat from the planet Earth who is among the deadliest of the Red Lantern Corps. He was given his ring after a series of events that resulted in seeing his owner killed and being found in an alley and put in a bag to be thrown off a bridge. His mission is to find his owner's killer.[1] He was among the strike force that ambushed the Green Lanterns transporting Sinestro back to Korugar for execution.[2]

- Dex-Starr was originally drawn by Shane Davis as as a joke for one of the spreads of the Red Lanterns in Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns #1, but was given a few more panels at Geoff Johns insistance, and was named after Davis' cat Dexter.[3] The character has been popularly recieved as "Rage cat" and "Ruffles" on various boards, most likely because of the lolcat meme.
- Judging by his fur color, he is most likely a British or Russian Blue, popular cat breeds known for their silvery-blue fur (or occasionally bright blue, as can be seen here).
