Wonder Woman was a hero and a member of the Justice League that fought alongside Batman in the two year total war against Ares. During this time, Diana became romantically involved with Batman. When the heroes finally reached Ares, Wonder Woman was hit with an attack that stunned her, making Batman believe she was dead. However, when Bruce saw that she was still alive and reached for Ares' helmet, Batman begrudgingly killed her, wanting the power of the helmet for himself.
