Diego Dorrance (DC Super Hero Girls TV Series)

Bane is one of Gotham City's deadliest foes who faced off against Batman, who had his back broken by him in their first encounter. And he has used a dozen multiple aliases, including that of Diego Dorrance.

Accept No Substitute

On one occasion, Bane escaped from prison and infiltrated Metropolis High School using his alias Diego Dorrance and posing as an art teacher, for stealing chemicals from the science lab and thus complete the formula of his new Venom. Batman contacted retired Commissioner Jim Gordon to capture Bane, and for this he was assigned to be a substitute science teacher for a week, inadvertently embarrassing his daughter. At the end of the week, Jim and two other policemen arrest Bane, but he frees himself from his restraints using Venom and abbots the policemen.

Jim pushes Barbara into a closet to keep her safe and fights Bane, but is soon overpowered. His daughter dresses up as Batgirl, and she helps her father defeat Bane. Batgirl confronted Bane and with a distraction made by Jim, she cleanly cuts through the tube, rendering Bane powerless. Bane is again arrested by the policemen, who take him back to Arkham.

This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series DC Super Hero Girls and is an adaptation of Bane. The original character was created by Dennis O'Neil, Chuck Dixon, and Graham Nolan and first appeared in Batman: Vengeance of Bane #1.
Bane was voiced by Eric Lopez.

Trivia

Bane's legal name is a reference to the two prior Banes who had their real names revealed, Antonio Diego and Eduardo Dorrance.
