Dionysus is the Greek God of wine, pleasure and parties. In modern times, he left Mount Olympus to become a student at Hudson University and live among his unaware followers, posing as the head of a frat house.

Dionyus is the god of wine and partying and one of the mighty Gods of Olympus; he was famous for his divine Chalice which could give immortality for one day to a human. He was also an acquaintance of the Fate Clotho.[1] In ancient times, Dionysus married Ariadne after Theseus abandoned her.[2]

After the rebirth of the Multiverse, at some point in the 20th Century, Dionysus chose to leave Mount Olympus as the Gods had already lost the largest part of their followers. In order to gain new followers, he moved to the United States of America, posing as Dion, a student and the head of a fraternity house at Hudson University. As the god of wine and pleasures, he became known for his great parties, granting powers through his Chalice to those he deemed worthy.

In 2020, the Legends came to his university to drink from his Chalice as they needed immortality to be able to fight the goddesses Atropos and Lachesis over the Loom of Fate. As Dionysus believed that the Loom of Fate could remove free will, he refused to let them have those powers, but after being defeated at beer-pong by Sara Lance, the god agreed to let the Legends drink from the Chalice.[1]
