- Disaster Master was created by Otto Binder and Kurt Schaffenberger, first appearing in Whiz Comics #144. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Disaster Master first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in The New Champion of Shazam! #1 by Josie Campbell and Evan Shaner.
