Synopsis for "Burn, Savage, Burn"
In Antarctica, Shosharonna Gold shoots a soviet who is holding a bomb and drops it. A Soviet colonel Ivanovich picks up the bomb and throws it away before it explodes. Monk Mayfair thanks Ivanovich for saving his life. Ivanovich asks Monk where Doc Savage is.
Savage is inside the compound operating on Hal Brooks. His son is operating on a Russian. After they have done all they can the Savages leave the operating room and find Shoshanna Gold crying. Shoshanna explains that the aliens on the moon are actually members of an ancient race that lived on Earth and escaped to the moon after about a dozen of the aliens survived some cataclysmic event. Some escaped to another landmass on Earth. These two aliens instead went to the moon. Shoshanna believes that she is a descendent of the aliens, hence her extrasensory ability.
Savage and his crew go to the submarine bay and send a signal to the orbiting plane, which operates on solar energy, directing the plane to land at the compound. When it does, they board it and fly to China. They are confronted by two Chinese jets and one of them attacks the Savage plane. Savage flies straight at the Great Wall of China and pulls up at the last second, causing the pursuing Chinese jet to crash into the Wall. The remaining jet escorts the Savage jet to an airfield and puts the occupants under armed guard. Savage and the others are detained and they escape. The building in which Savage and the others are in is set on fire by a soldier.
