Doctor Bedlam, sometimes mistakenly identified as Baron Bedlam, is one of the evil New Gods of Apokolips and a loyal servant to Darkseid. He is a scientist who has created many weapons of terror, most notably the Paranoid Pill. His special ability allows him to jump between dummy "animate" bodies as he is a creature of pure energy, which makes him very difficult to kill. Doctor Bedlam was created by Jack Kirby as part of his Fourth World saga, first appearing in Mister Miracle #2. (1971)
