Powers

  • New God Physiology: Doctor Bedlam is a being of pure psionic energy and has no true body, but while in possession of one of his faux bodies he retains the powers and abilities found in all new gods due to every animate he takes possession of reflecting his old self in appearance and physique.
  • Possession: In his new form as an energy consciousness Bedlam can possess his own bio-mechanical android animates to resume a physical form. He's shown he can posses and alternate the physical form of any and all animates he currently inhabits and can host multiple animates as he's already in a host all at the same time.

Abilities

Equipment

  • Doctor Bedlam's Animates: With no true body to speak of any longer, he downloads his consciousness into android bodies. These bodies are often referred to as Animates. When one body is destroyed, he merely transmits his essence into a new one.

Transportation

  • Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
  • Although he has once assumed the identity of Baron Bedlam, Doctor Bedlam is not to be confused with the Markovian insurrectionist, Baron Bedlam.
