Synopsis for "The Death of Innocence, Part Four: And I Will Rise"
Eric Strauss is dead. His funeral has taken place with Jack Small, Petey and Nabu as witnesses. The only person missing was Linda Strauss, who is still dealing with her loss. Her friends try to help her grieve, but she refuses to face the truth. She wants Eric back.
Nabu takes Linda to her bedroom so that she can rest, but Linda chooses to become Doctor Fate and goes looking for the soul of Eric in the afterlife to bring him back. Fate locates Eric's soul, but thanks to The Guide, she understands that Eric's soul is must stay in the afterlife so that it can reincarnate in another body. Eric assures Linda that their souls are destined to be connected and after taking away her pain, Eric and The Guide leave to the afterlife.
Linda returns to Earth, where she visits Eric's gravesite and changes the epitaph from "Not enough time" to "Till We Meet Again".
