Doctor Faustus was a Gotham villain sent to Arkham Asylum by Batman.

History

He believed he had an arrangement with Satan that granted him immortality in exchange for human sacrifices. He turned out to be an excellent captain for the Arkham baseball team. Faustus died when he commandeered and crashed a helicopter in an escape attempt from Blackgate Penitentiary.
