History

Dr. Trevor and his husband Steve Chang met Diana of Themyscira while she was in a refugee camp as a refugee after leaving her home to save them. Her ability to translate was a great help to them in helping translate for a refugee mother whose sick child needed hospitalization. They respected her wishes not to clarify where she came from or talk about her family, but given her knowledge of language they presented her with an opportunity to come with them back to the States and earn a degree so that she could make a larger impact in the world and continue to help refugees. When she agreed they came up with a workable vague backstory for her as a Greek exchange student named Diana Prince whose parents Steve met in grad school.
