Donna Parker was selected to be a member of the Green Lantern Corps, but declined the offer.

History

After her husband died in the Korean War, Donna settled down as a teacher and single mother in Nebraska. One day, one of her children fell into a frozen lake, causing her to spring into action. While saving her, she came across a Green Lantern Ring and was compelled to pick it up. After she rescued her child, she was greeted by a Guardian of the Universe who requested her to join the Green Lantern Corps. She refused, preferring to raise her children and because a similar institution lead to the death of her husband.
