Synopsis for "Puppet Patrol"
Walking through the streets of Cloverton, Jane frames signs to help find Niles while being harassed by several civilians, whom she attacks. Vic, in his new room, remembers the accident he caused, in which Elinore died, before meeting with Rita and Cliff, who report that they discovered a photo of Mister Nobody and the albino donkey in Paraguay. The Negative Spirit leaves Larry on the laboratory roof, who is forced to remember his discussion with John and Sheryl before the accident, scolding the spirit for making him remember. The group, led by Vic, reunites to take a trip to Paraguay to discover more about Niles and Nobody's connection, knowing that his name was Eric Morden, however, the bus ride becomes turbulent with arguments until Larry accidentally damages the bus.
With no other options, the group is forced to stop their trip, taking the bus to a motel to rest and spend the night. The next day, Cliff tries to call his daughter, Clara, but out of fear he doesn't. Due to Rita's delay in the bathroom, the group becomes angry at having to resume their journey, however, Jane turns into her teleporting personality, Flit, and takes Cliff and Larry to Paraguay, leaving Vic and Rita behind. The trio begins to investigate in Paraguay, meeting at the bus stop with Steven Larson, an energetic and friendly tourist, who begins to tell them the reason for his trip, mentioning that he was looking to obtain magnetic feet in Fuchtopia, a secret laboratory in which he would receive super powers, so the trio decided to join him to investigate Nobody.
The trio and Larson arrive on the bus to Fuchtopia, where they are taken to a theater, witnessing a puppet show directed by Heinrich Von Fuchs, who recounts his life as a scientist to the audience, using his bizarre experiments in World War II. before going to Paraguay and making a deal with Eric Morden, which was ruined by Niles, who stole an important Von Fuchs relic, but that would cause the creation of Mister Nobody and Von Fuchs' feeling of revenge towards Niles, managing to survive, creating numerous Nazi descendants who follow his legacy. At the motel, Vic and Rita have a fight when he criticizes her for her cowardice and she criticizes him for Silas' overprotection of him, so they both help each other, forming a friendly bond.
Seeking to know why Niles was in Paraguay during the creation of Nobody, Jane orders the group to pretend that they would go for upgrades to be "better", failing to find a way to pay for their experiments until Jane tells the secretary that she possesses 64 powerful personalities, something that Von Fuchs heard through the woman, agreeing to have a private meeting. Leaving Cliff talking to a descendant about his condition, Larry heads to the Inter-Dimensional Chamber, hoping to separate himself from the Spirit, remembering when he was hospitalized for his radioactive skin, which he feared would hurt people and Sheryl ended up with him due to his condition. Larry uses the camera to regain his normal skin, being confronted by the spirit, which prevents him from separating from it.
Von Fuchs reveals her current appearance to Jane, demanding to see another of her personalities, offering to eliminate the rest of her personas so that she alone could use her body, an offer that she rejected, being humiliated by the scientist when he remembered her purpose to protect at the "girl", angering Jane, who reveals she is an friend of Niles. Revealing themselves as acquaintances of Niles, Jane and Cliff are attacked by the controlled descendants of Von Fuchs, who orders an attack on his enemies, however, Cliff was able to easily massacre the Nazis while Jane eliminated the others, becoming his metallic personality, Silver Tongue, to stab Von Fuchs, who mocks his life with his other personalities and eventually dies. Jane observes with horror the massacre made by Cliff, with whom he destroyed the Inter-Dimensional Chamber, freeing Larry, who unites and merges with the Spirit again.
With their mission failed, the trio return to the motel to meet up with Rita and Vic, boarding the S.T.A.R. Jet to return to Cloverton. During the trip home, Larry remembers when he refused love, distancing himself from John because of his condition. Silas suddenly calls Vic, stating that he would always be there for him when he needs him, but with Rita's advice, Vic closes his father to begin to be independent. Bloodied and feeling like a bad person, Cliff tears up the sheet of paper with Clara's number, thinking that she would be better off without it. Jane graffitis a window of the jet, mentioning that the checkpoint was only for fascists, keeping quiet with the rest of the group. However, it is revealed that Larson was in the Inter-Dimensional Chamber of the destroyed Fuchtopia, emerging from the machine now with a dinosaur head, mineral parts and a hand with a celery, powers that astonished Larson, who began to laugh evilly.
