Synopsis for "The Soul of a New Machine"

Professor Niles Caulder fixes Cliff Steele's robotic body. After the Professor leaves, Cliff's body gets up from the table and has a conversation with its brain. It seems the robotic body developed consciousness and is now worried about what will happen if Cliff's brain is reinserted in the body. To solve this problem, it drills a hole in the nutrient tank housing Cliff's brain. When there is no fluid left, Cliff's brain will die.

An intelligent gorilla pushes a baby stroller with a living brain in it. He tells the brain he will find it a body. They break into Doom Patrol headquarters.

Cliff's robotic body explains to Cliff's brain that it has riggedi its weapon systems to overload and explode should anyone try to transplant a brain into it. The gorilla and the brain break into the laboratory room. The gorilla battles Cliff's robotic body and after defeating it, straps it down to the lab table. Then the gorilla transplants the brain into the body.

Upon awakening in its new body, the brain kisses the gorilla and the robotic body's weapons systems overload and explode.
