Synopsis for "Convergence: Conclusion"

A pod beached itself on Key Mordaz and shadowy figures emerged from it while an individual resembling Vortex regained consciousness and examined an unconscious Nudge, who was in her mind before escaping the tunnel, only to encounter the five people who took over her body. They surrounded her before the individual resembling Vortex intervened. Meanwhile, Cliff and Larry stood over a weakened Rita before she shrunk.

Metamorpho attacked the individual resembling Vortex, but was quickly defeated by the latter's time manipulation powers. Seeing conventional medicine and the Chief as both unable to treat Rita, Cliff shared his energy with her, but was weakened as a result.

The individual resembling Vortex grabbed both Nudge and Metamorpho when the Korean girl's family arrived. The individual sensed powers within Nudge's brother before she regained control of her body and pinned the intruder to a wall, although he was able to devolve her into an ape. Nudge's mother and brother ran before encountering Grunt. Then, the Chief blasted the intruder, causing Nudge to revert to normal. The Chief, Nudge, and Grunt flew to the gigantic Negative Man and blasted him with the same device used to revert the Korean to her human form, splitting the entity and Vortex. Rita came to the Chief and claimed that Cliff was dead.

Later, the Chief gave Cliff a new body before the latter kissed Rita. Then, the former turned his attention to Vortex and revealed that he knew of his origins for several weeks. As Vortex was about to leave with his kind, he bid his soon-to-be former teammates farewell before kissing Nudge, much to her shock. Larry attempted to remove his bandages, believing that Vortex had scooped up Negative Man's energy, but the latter revealed that a form of the entity remained before it flew out of the former's body. When the Chief questioned Vortex about the Negative Man, the latter disappeared, then Nudge urged Cliff to tell everyone about the zapper he kept.

Nudge spoke to Elihu before Grunt came to her room and told her that it was time. Rex parted ways with the Chief and left Key Mordaz before the latter offered to train Gary before Nudge appeared before their mother and her teammates in her uniform. Nudge told her mother that she wanted to stay with the Doom Patrol, which the latter reluctantly approved and her brother suggested that he might join one day and the Chief claimed that he would always have a home with them.
