Synopsis for "A Cold Night's Death!"
HMS Rushton Chopper Three landed next to the International Soames Lake Facility and found it covered in ice. When they investigated the inside of the base, a giant monster burst from the ice beneath them.
Rita thought of costumes for the team and Larry approved although Cliff was skeptical and Nudge angrily disapproved. The Chief turned down Nudge's request to visit Miami and he briefly discussed Rita's proposed uniforms with her and Cliff before they were contacted and notified of the situation at Soames Lake. While the Chief, Cliff, Rita, and Larry left, Faith and Nudge stayed behind to train and Vortex volunteered to stay behind.
When they arrived at the South Pole, they saw a giant monster where the base was supposed to be while Faith attempted to train Nudge. As she went outside for some air, she was frightened when she encountered the ghost of a Confederate soldier.
Cliff, Larry, and Rita were greeted by Colonel Guest and his researchers informed them that the monster had no DNA and was seemingly only a few days old. Rita turned giant and moved the monster while Cliff and the Negative Man moved debris before two more monsters appeared before dying shortly after. The team later learned that there was a fresh water lake a mile and a half below Antarctica that was nothing like Earth. Nudge ran back inside and found Grunt and Vortex both wearing the new uniforms. Then, the three found the Chief being briefed by Cliff on his and Rita's plan to go to the bottom of Soames Lake. After the Chief and Larry both lost contact with Cliff and Rita, the latter two found themselves surrounded by more monsters.
