Doomsday was a living weapon created by Darkseid that was sent to Earth to attack the planet.

It managed to leave a path of destruction in its wake and seriously wounded numerous members of the Justice League before being taken out by Superman, however, the hero was fatally wounded while delivering the finishing blow to the monster.

A few years later, Doomsday's DNA was combined with those of Parademons to create the "Paradooms"[1].

Powers

  • Unique Physiology
    • Superhuman Strength: Doomsday's strength was only rivaled by someone like Superman, if not surpasses the Kryptonian. His blows in conjunction with Superman's were enough to send shockwaves throughout Metropolis and even able to level the Hall of Justice.
      • Super-Leaping: Due to his might, Doomsday was able to leap great distances, even underwater.
    • Power Replication: During his engagement with Superman, after he was blasted with the Man of Steel's heat vision, Doomsday was able to duplicate this ability to do considerable damage to Superman and even Lex Luthor's warsuit.
    • Invulnerability: Doomsday is able to withstand virtually and kind of physical punishment. He's even able to withstand, as well as break Wonder Woman's sword. The Lasso of Truth could hold him for a bit, however it's magic proved to be ineffective. Doomsday's body also can take a hit from a Kryptonite cannon and was relatively unharmed, though it did knock him down for several seconds.
    • Superhuman Reflexes: Doomsday possessed incredible reflexes, fast enough to knock down the Flash moving at superhuman speed.
    • Spike Generation: Approaching Lois Lane, Doomsday demonstrated the power to grow the crystalline spikes out of his forearm and use them as weapons, which can pierce Kryptonian bodies.
