Doomsday Annual #1 is a one-shot with a cover date of December, 1995.
Synopsis for "Communion"
A group of survivors of the Doomsday attack are brought together by Mitch Anderson at the site where Doomsday first emerged, which is now cordoned off by the United States Military as a radioactive site. As Mitch enters the crowd, he addresses them, telling them the story of how the battle with Doomsday, and Justice League America destroyed his home, and suggests they share their experiences to make sense of how Doomsday affected their lives.
Once others survivors in the crowd have eulogize for those that were lost, Mitch throws a rock into the hole where Doomsday first emerged from in an act of therapeutic relief. Others follow suit before several Soldiers arrive with guns drawn telling the crowd to cease and desist. Before things can escalate, Superman arrives, and leads the crowd out of the soldiers jurisdiction. Superman relays the origin of Doomsday to Mitch and the crowd, and details briefly his second encounter with the creature before relaying that even the New Gods learned to fear the name Doomsday.

Synopsis for "In Blackest Night"
Green Lantern Zharan Pel of Sector 2813 intercepts a fleet of refugees escaping from Doomsday's rampage. The Green Lantern confronts Doomsday in the ruins of the planet's civilization. After trapping the monster, Zharan contacts the Guardians for guidance. However, Doomsday breaks free from Zharan's construct, kills the Green Lantern, and takes his power ring. Instinctively, Doomsday sees the Guardians as enemies, and the power ring responds to the monster's will to take him toward them.
The Guardians send numerous Green Lanterns to stop Doomsday, but the creature crushes anyone on his path and arrives on Oa. There, a Guardian confronts Doomsday and attacks him with all his power. But the monster seems to adapt and absorb the Guardian's power, forcing the Guardian to do one last, desperate act: releasing the totality of his energy in an explosion that destroys Doomsday's ring and sends the creature into space and kills the Guardian. The remaining of the Corps and the Guardians gather to honor the sacrifice of their fallen brother.
