History

Dos Rios was settled by cattle ranchers on the fertile land between two rivers, hence its name. Ranching became the city's booming industry, and it steadily grew. Local commerce is now the main source of income, though there is some tourism as well.

Its location near the border has made it a prime entry point for narcotics, but otherwise, the crime rates are low. The city is practically segregated across cultural borders, with separate neighborhoods housing the majority of the latino, white and black populations. Mayor Thomas Longstreet has worked with the city council to integrate the city, but the people just stick to their own business and neighborhood.

The city is protected by the vigilante El Diablo, secretly councilman Rafael Sandoval.[1]
