Drabny was an enemy of the Challengers of the Unknown.
History
Drabny was a treasure hunter who sought three artifacts created by ancient alchemists. His search for the artifacts led him to a castle in Mordania and encountering the Challengers of the Unknown, who were visiting the estate that was inherited by June Robbins' friend Marie, and studying the aforementioned items. Drabny stole the items in a secret compartment, which are all super-scientific devices. The first being the helmet that controlled elements. The other two artifacts were a youth serum which made him about twenty years younger, and a pair of goggles that allowed him to see and copy the technology of the future. Drabny using the goggles built several vehicles he called "Star Cars", which had advanced magnetic controls. It is not clear if these weapons were created by alchemists or they are high-tech weapons from the future.
During the incident, Rocky Davis and Ace Morgan are sprayed with a chemical that temporarily turns them into children, and Drabny took Red Ryan and Prof Haley prisoner. Eventually, June, Ace and Rocky then rescue them from Drabny's prison. Stopping Drabny from using his army of Star Cars as weapons, the Challengers expose him to the age reducing water and give him a firm spanking before turning him over to the authorities.[1] After his initial defeat by the Challengers he was put in prison, but was broken out by the robot Kra.[2] He was only able to salvage the helmet, but with the weapon he joined the League of Challenger Haters. Even with their combined might they were unable to defeat the Challengers.[3] In another of their battle against the Challengers along with the Doom Patrol, Drabny was ultimately killed when he accidentally triggered a bomb that was planted by the League of Challenger Haters.

- Elemental Helmet: Capable of controlling the elements, in particular, to open up the ground and burrow through the earth, disintegrate lava rock and capable of telekinetically lift an ocean liner.
- Youth Serum: Makes Drabny at least around twenty years younger.
- Future-vision Goggles: Allows the wearer to scan and duplicate the technology of the future.

- This version of Drabny, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022–2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
