The Dragon People were the minions of the "Dragon Queen" of Karlovna, enemies of the Blackhawk Squadron.
History
Under a very old bridge in the capital city of Karlovna is an entrance to an underworld of tunnels and caverns, inhabited by the ancient, hostile "Dragon People". Once they had ruled this region, but the weak, civilized humans had driven them from the face of the land.
For a time in the mid-1940s, these stunted savages did the bidding of their adopted "Dragon Queen", who exploited them in assassinations and thefts, while also increasing the tribe's power and boldness. In a confrontation with the Blackhawk Squadron, the mightiest among the Dragon People, Grotesko, was punched unconscious by Blackhawk, and their so-called "Dragon Queen" died by her own hand.
It's not clear how many of these people there were at that time, or are now. It is not known on what terms, if any, the Dragon People and the Karlovnans have been able to co-exist.
