The Dude was the leader of a small time gang, who ran a protection racket.

History

Dude and his thugs murdered an enemy gangster and they framed the kill on Bert Westcott, a friend of Inza Cramer. Because of Westcott's connection with Inza, the Dude's activities were brought to the attention of Doctor Fate, who uncovered the truth and stopped the Dude's criminal activities for good.
