Durwin Talon is a comic book artist.
Professional History
Durwin Talon is a Canadian artist and illustrator. Most of the time he has spent teaching in places such as the Savannah College of Art and Design where he taught in the Sequential Art, Illustration, Graphic Design and Computer Art departments. Later on he moved to Indiana to teach at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and most recently he took a position as Associate Professor of Illustration at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
His tenure in the comic book industry was very short lived. He began working for Caliber Comics in 1996. Five years later, his first work for DC Comics was published in the storyline Batman: Officer Down. Some of his final works for comics were for Image Comics in 2009.
Personal History
Talon received his Bachelors degree in Fine Arts (BFA) from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), then received his ISDP Master's Degree (MA) from Syracuse University in the United States. In 2007, he received the terminal degree of Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in Illustration from the University of Hartford.
