History

Earth-16 is one of fifty-one divergent realities that branched from the core New Earth reality during the recreation of the Multiverse shortly following the events of Infinite Crisis.

Notes

It is one of the alternate realities of the post-Infinite Crisis Multiverse.
What exactly Earth-16 is is contradictory. So far, there have been three different accounts:

In early material, such as DC Nation #89, Earth-16 was said to be the home of the Super-Sons (the former Earth-154).
In Countdown: Arena, Christopher Kent/Superman was said to be a native of this universe (despite early promotional material stating him to be from Earth-15), and he was supposedly the only Kryptonian of that universe, ruling out the Super-Sons-continuity.
At ComicCon 2010, the new Young Justice (TV Series) was also revealed to take place on Earth-16.
