History

After the retirement of Superman led to the mass surrender of the superheroic old guard, a new generation of superbeings ran amok until the destruction of Kansas forced Kal-El's return. Eventually, after several failed attempts at containing the situation with his new Justice Society of America, nearly leading to a nuclear apocalypse, he and his allies pledged to work with humanity rather than above it to solve the problem.

Notes

  • This Earth is based on Mark Waid and Alex Ross' Kingdom Come, and is the direct continuation of the pre-Flashpoint Earth-22 and the pre-Crisis Earth-96.
  • While the continuation of Earth-22, it is unlikely this version of Superman went through the events of Thy Kingdom Come, as Earth 0 has significantly changed since the events of Flashpoint.
  • The existence of the Thom Kallor Starman in this universe indicates that some variation of the Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds event may have occurred in the New 52, as Starman was originally brought to Earth-22 on his way to New Earth in order to prepare for the resurrection of Superboy. However, it may simply be a version of Starman native to this universe.
  • Earth 22 is opposite Earth 7 in the structure of the Multiverse.
