Synopsis for "Justice"

It is night, a year after planetfall. Green Lantern is on the outskirts of New Gotham, marching on Wayne Tower in giant form. Despite his past as a man and a hero, currently he is the soul of a planet, and in that capacity, he must stop Doctor Impossible from doing something terrible.

Outside Wayne Tower, Power Girl is shouting for her friend to stop the terrible thing she is about to do. When Green Lantern shows up, she tries to convince him to step back, but he knocks her aside, saying "the heart of this world must beat".

Inside the tower, Huntress, Red Arrow and Doctor Impossible are readying the Genesis Machine, which combines the engineering of the late Bruce Wayne with technology from the Fourth World, and which Doctor Impossible has convinced Huntress can recreate the Earth... including her father.

In Erebus City, minutes ago, Superman, Batman and the Flash were fighting Doctor Impossible's underlings. Flash had been crippled by the otherworldly visage of Johnny Sorrow, leaving Superman to fight Anarky and Superman to face the impossibly strong Hourman. However, Flash recovers with surprising speed, and disarms Hourman, taking away the Miraclo compound which allows him to repower himself. Knowing that the fight is a distraction, the trio take off for New Gotham. Flash arrives first, saving the falling Power Girl. Superman arrives second. Knowing that the two Kryptonians have a complex history, Flash runs on.

Power Girl attacks Superman, demanding that she be left alone. Superman blocks her eye lasers, and reiterates his position: he did not know that Terry Sloan was going to use his inventions to kill Superman. Now, he says, the world needs them to work together.

In the sky, Red Tornado arrives and is brought up to date by Batman, who insists that Doctor Impossible is about to double-cross Huntress... as inside the tower, Huntress is suddenly discovering that the Genesis Machine has grown Mother Box circuits.

Green Lantern tears the top off the tower, inciting a fistfight between Doctor Impossible and Green Lantern, as the other heroes meet in the exposed tower. They know that Doctor Impossible's plan is to terraform the whole planet into Mother Box technology he can control, and his first step is to kill Green Lantern, who is linked to the planet.

As Green Lantern goes down with the Genesis Machine wedged in his chest, already siphoning energy, the heroes try to attack Doctor Impossible. However, they are unsuccessful... until Superman and Power Girl double-team him pinioning him long enough for the others to destroy the Genesis Machine.

Re-empowered, Green Lantern traps Doctor Impossible in a bubble of green energy which he plans to use as a prison. As people emerge from the wrecked buildings, they pick out individual heroes, and cheer them for saving the world. The Flash turns to his compatriots, and underlines the point: this was why he ran: fans.

Alone, the wonders of Earth 2 tried to build cities, and fell to infighting. But together, they can build a society, and use it to make justice for all.
