The Shrieker was an enemy of Zatanna.

History

Eddie Edwards was a restaurant critic, known and despised for his annoying demeanor. He was also known as "The Shrieker" for obvious reasons.

Certain day while on a fancy cruise, Edwards was kicked out of the dinning hall and a strange mystic force came into his body. The energy had given him the power of manipulating sound, creating powerful shouts that could send a person flying off. Edwards attacked the people inside the cruise and he was promptly stopped by Zatanna. After his defeat, Edwards lost his powers.
