The Riddler is an enemy of Batman.
History
Working under the alias "Wade Magny", Edward Nygma began his criminal career as a lab assistant to Professor Milo alongside Leo Scarlett. When a teleporter experiment went awry and opened an unstable interdimensional rift, Batman was able to save Milo and Magny, but Scarlett was lost to the portal. Not long afterwards Nygma began his solo career as the Riddler and become one of Batman's most prominent foes.[1]

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Batman: The Brave and the Bold and its tie-in video game and comic book series, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold. It is an adaptation of Edward Nigma/The Riddler. The original character was created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang and first appeared in Detective Comics #140.
