Edwin Gauss, better known as the Folded Man, is a criminal and a Flash villain who was contained in Iron Heights penitentiary.
History
When Captain Cold caused a breakout at the prison, the Folded Man, along with Tar Pit and Girder tried to make their escape. Folded Man, seeing an opportunity to take Iris West hostage, attempted to do so but was repelled when she fought back with a metal grate. Folded Man and the others were eventually subdued by the Flash.[1]
When the Crime Syndicate took over the world and claimed to have killed the Justice League, all villains roamed the Earth free. Folded Man escaped captivity and left Central City, after Tar Pit had told him that Grodd had taken control.[2]

- Folded Man Suit: This specially-designed suit enables Edwin to travel between dimensions. He can become two-dimensional or four-dimensional. In his 2-D form he is totally flat, isn't solid (hence, can't be hit) and is invisible when seen from sides. His 4-D form is really powerful: To the user, 3-D beings (as us) could be considered 2-D. Gauss can see anything in our dimension from all directions, and he can open portals at will, attacking enemies without early warning.

- Folded Man was created by Brian Augustyn, Mark Waid, and Paul Pelletier, first appearing in The Flash (Volume 2) #153. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Folded Man first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in The Flash (Volume 4) #5 by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato.
