Quote1 As Tanya's hand squeezed Edwin's, he remembered how his heart fluttered when they first embraced. How happy it made him. For his adventure of the heart to finally arrive. But though they enjoyed each other's company and discovered how much they had in common... Somehow, that fluttering still faded, the old doubts creeping back. Despite all his pretending otherwise. Was there something wrong with him? And as he wondered If he'd ever have a true adventure of the heart, another question crossed his mind-- why did the answer feel closer than it seemed? Quote2

Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland are the Dead Boy Detectives.

Origins

Many years ago, some bullies killed Edwin in their school in England while trying to raise "Devils". Years later, Edwin's spirit returned, and watched the bullies torturing Charles Rowland to death, later coming to his aid. When Death came to take Charles to the Afterlife, he chose to stay on Earth with Edwin as ghosts. They later formed the Dead Boy Detective agency and befriended Crystal Palace and Tim Hunter.[1][2]

The Krasue

In the present day, Edwin and Charles went to the United States and were hired by little Timmy to find his neighbor Jai Sirikull, in return for a rare magic card made of foil.[1]
