Moonglow was an enemy of Star-Spangled Kid.
History
Professor Egbert Whipple was always a meek, nervous man with a small stature. He worked at a University where he met the child prodigy Sylvester Pemberton, who was being quizzed by the other professors to test his intellect.
One night he was inspired by the light of the moon to create a special globular helmet that concentrated the moon's light into the brain of the individual, thereby enhancing their brain power. While it worked at first, granting Egbert not just increased intellect but more confidence as well, his demeanor began to change. He became irritable and prone to violent outbursts. He smashed the helmet in fear of what he was becoming. But from then on, the light of the full moon would transform his head into a glowing orb, and make him want to commit criminal acts.
Calling himself Moonglow, Egbert was unable to control his criminal impulses while the moon was out, and always awoke the next morning regretting his actions.
