Eivol Ekdal is a criminal mastermind and death-trap designer who has been an enemy of Batman.
History
Ekdal's base of operations was hidden in the back of a phony book store. He designed what he considered the ultimage death-trap for stage magician Zelda the Great and forced her to steal money for the device, hoping to lure Batman into his death-trap to test his invention.
Batman and Robin eventually found Ekdal's hideout and managed to overcome the ultimate death-trap, ending Ekdal's criminal career.
