History

In the late 1940s, El Caffar was one of the world's great oil centers, and crude oil was pumped there from all over the Near East for transshipment and storage. In 1949, an arsonist/racketeer called "Moloch" tried to extort money from the oil company, and destroyed several big oil tanks in the process. The celebrated Blackhawk Squadron was already in El Caffar when this happened, and the fire bug, who called himself "Mr. Moloch," was arrested, along with his gang.
